The following article on the use of hypnosis for possibly curing schizophrenia will appear in the magazine ASYLUM in its March, 2014 issue. I have copied and pasted below a part of this article. I most certainly would be interested in hearing any comments of interested parties:
A THEORY ON THE CAUSE AND POSSIBLE CURE FOR SCHIZOPHRENIA
By Alfred A. Barrios (B.S. Caltech, 1955; Ph.D. in psychology UCLA, 1969); Inventor of the Stress Control Biofeedback Card; Author of Towards Greater Freedom and Happiness and Understanding Hypnosis: Theory, Scope and Potential.
In the book Understanding Hypnosis: Theory, Scope and Potential (Barrios, 2009), an explanation is presented for the cause of schizophrenia that derived from the theory of hypnosis (Barrios, 2001). Based on this explanation, a possible cure for schizophrenia using hypnosis is presented. This article will be a presentation of these very same ideas.

Work monotony and compulsory postures promote fatigue and other work-related health problems. Therefore, the respective muscle group tension is considered to be the main cause of pain. A high occurrence of musculoskeletal complaints among clothing industry employees has been already described by many authors [3-8].
It is known that high work pace, lack of control over work, and insufficient co-workers' support can lead to muscles fatigue and chronic pain in different body parts [9,10]. At the same time it is estimated that 30-54% of chronic pain patients suffer from severe forms of depression caused by stress at work [11]. (more…)
