What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused awareness that we all slip into throughout the day. You might notice it when you’re driving a familiar route and suddenly realise you can’t recall each turn, or when you’re so absorbed in a book or film that the outside world fades into the background. In those moments, the conscious mind takes a step back and the subconscious becomes more open and receptive.
Hypnosis simply guides you into this state intentionally, helping your mind relax so it can process new ideas and solutions more easily.
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy uses this calm, focused state to help release unhelpful patterns, reduce stress, build confidence and create healthier behaviours. It isn’t mind control, and you’re not unconscious. You remain aware, comfortable and completely in control throughout.
Stage shows and TV have given hypnosis a reputation for gimmicks, but clinical hypnotherapy is very different. It’s a collaborative process. I guide you into a relaxed, receptive state, and your mind chooses which suggestions are helpful. Nothing is forced, and nothing can override your values or decisions.

The truth is simple: hypnosis isn’t something I do to you. It’s something we do together.
“What if I can’t be hypnotised?”
This is one of the most common concerns—and the easiest to answer.
Everyone can enter a hypnotic state, because it’s a natural part of how your mind works. You don’t need to be highly suggestible or able to “go under”. You simply need to allow yourself to relax, the same way you would during meditation or deep breathing.
In fact, many clients find online hypnosis even more effective, because they’re in an environment where they already feel safe and comfortable. When your mind feels safe, it opens up.
Hypnosis is not about trying hard—it’s about letting go of the need to try.
What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?
Most people describe it as a calm, pleasant drift—similar to daydreaming or guided meditation. Your body relaxes, your thoughts settle, and your mind becomes more focused and open to positive change.
In this state, the brain becomes more solution-focused, making it easier to shift old patterns and create new ways of thinking.

My Hypnotherapy Services
Every person is different, so every programme is built around what you need. At The D4 Clinic, I offer three main ways to work with me:
One-to-One Clinical Hypnotherapy
My individual sessions combine clinical hypnotherapy with psychology, CBT, counselling and mindfulness. These sessions are ideal if you want personalised support with issues such as anxiety, stress, confidence, weight management, smoking or habit change.
You’ll receive a tailored approach based on your goals, your history and your preferred pace.
VIP Intensive Hypnotherapy
For clients who want faster results or a deeper level of support, I offer VIP programs of 6, 8 or ongoing sessions. These sessions allow us to work more comprehensively in a shorter space of time, ideal for people who want focused attention, rapid progress or a more immersive experience.
VIP clients also receive additional resources and ongoing follow-up support.

If you prefer to work in your own time, or want an affordable and flexible option, my downloadable programmes are designed to give you professional hypnotherapy whenever you want it.
These programmes replicate the structure of one-to-one sessions and are created using the same evidence-based methods I use with clients in clinic. Each download is easy to use and can be listened to anywhere—at home, while travelling or before bed.
